CARTA service has recently be experiencing more frequent service delays and/or disruptions.
CARTA is working diligently with the service operator, National Express, on the action plan to improve performance in the face of the ongoing driver shortage that is impacting the entire transit industry.
Staffing levels continue to increase and we’re confident that the situation will improve in short order, as it must, because reliable transit is crucial for our partners and all riders.
Communication
We encourage riders to:
- Download our app, the Transit App and select routes to receive notice for service disruptions in advance when possible
- Continue to use the Text or Call for Next Bus feature for on the spot real time service (843-202-4410 +StopID#)
- Follow CARTA Alerts on Twitter for service delays
- Check back here periodically for additional information and updates
