Hospitality on Peninsula (HOP)
Due to the limited ridership in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hospitality on Peninsula (HOP) service is suspended until further notice.
We will continue to monitor demand as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease and will provide more information about future plans to resume service as it becomes available. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit the DASH service page for a convenient and FREE way to travel on the Peninsula.
Whether you’re a concierge, line cook or day-tripper, for anyone looking to avoid the hassle of searching for a parking spot or repeatedly feeding meters, CARTA’s Hospitality on Peninsula (HOP) park-and-ride program provides a convenient option.
The route begins at the HOP lot at 995 Morrison Drive, runs down Meeting Street, along Broad Street and back up to East Bay Street to the lot. Track buses in real time by downloading the app, Transit.
HOP is the first park-and-ride on the peninsula and was brought to fruition via a collaborative partnership with the City of Charleston, Charleston County, the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments.
